Novell’s Growing Linux Business

  1. Would make a pretty respectable company on its own, only Novell as a whole is being dragged down by legacy baggage (NetWare etc).

Depends on what's in the Linux sales figures and what is not....for
instance Novell has a good LDAP/IdM (identity management offering)
so is that offering in the legacy as its not "linux" sales or not...

Compare Debian's market share to Novell's, even ubuntu's is good...and
finally Novell is really a proprietry company....it just happens to
have a Linux offering...most of the SUSE originators and GPL believers
have left....ive delt with them and they are no better than Sun or MS
    in business attitude IMHO....

    regards
