Noisey fan on all the time

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Southern Kiwi, May 10, 2004.

  1. Compaq Armada E500 running Win2000 pro.

Should this be running all the time, even when on batteries?

Is there a way to disable it unless it gets hot, so as to conserve battery
    life?

In power settings I can shut down HD and screen but not fan.

    TIA
