NForce 3 chipset incompatibilities

  1. Here are some results and conclusions I'd like to share.
NForce 3 150 mobo (Biostar K8NHA-Pro) with NVidia based FX5700 graphics has
problems when playing videos. A yellow exclamation mark appears in the
    systray.
Event viewer reports an WMI something error.

NForce 3 250 mobo (ASUS K8N) with NVidia based FX5200 graphics has same
    problem.
NForce 3 250 mobo (same one) with ATI based 9600 graphis NO problem.

NForce 4 mobo (ASUS A8N-SLI) with NVidia based 6600 graphics NO problem.

Seems as if NForce 3 based mobos do not get along quite well with NVidias
    own family of graphic cards.

  3. The 6.43 Beta drivers available from the asus website stop the machine check
errors, however you get a very slow boot up unless you disable command
    queueing.
