I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but has anyone heard when a
new version of Mike Meyers' A+ Certification Exam Guide (the "biggie") is
    going to be released?

The 5th Edition was released on October 2003 and a lot has happened in the
A+ world in almost 2 years.

    Thanks!

You're right... a lot has happened, but essentially, it's a study guide,
and the test has not been updated yet, so the book will probably not
come out until the test is updated.

On the other hand, the fifth edition really is very thorough in more
recent stuff. He includes a "Beyond A+" in each chapter that discusses
these more recent technologies that are not yet on the tests.
