New Twist on Spam Email ?

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by texan....usenet@texas...removethisbit...usacom.., Dec 5, 2005.

  1. Was checking my email accounts before. On one account, the inbox
indicator said I had one new email. I looked at the page and
couldn't see it. Wasn't until I went right down to the bottom
of the page, I found it.

The date on it - 4 January 1980....

Ran it through SpamCop - originated in Thailand.

Anyone know why they would do this?
Perhaps to think the likes of SpamCop wouldn't accept it?

Perhaps it is just the programmer in me, but it could be an
    uninitialized variable or coding error.

I used to get this all the time. It's a right pain with ihug's webmail if
you're like me and leave your mail on the server: if it's not on the last
page you have to sift through pages and pages before you find the bastard.

Why attribute it to design when it is much more likely to be stupidity?
