New Releases: Six Feet Under, Robocop & Party of Five: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & inf

    Universal will release Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! on April 20th. There
    will be separate P&S and anamorphic 2.35:1 releases, both with Dolby 5.1
    audio. Both will list for $26.99. The extras include a gag reel, deleted
    scenes and Paris Hilton outtakes.

    MGM is digging through their catalog and has two waves of releases. Most are
    'R' rated flicks from the mid 80's and all will list for $14.95. Most of
    them are presented in anamorphic video and two channel audio. Many even have
    both letterbox and P&S on the same disc. Set for June 1st are:
    Special Effects,
    Perfect Strangers,
    Masquerade (1988),
    Dream Lover,
    Déjà Vu.
    On June 15th they will release:
    Wild Party,
    Wedding Banquet,
    Raggedy Rawney,
    Prick Up Your Ears,
    Moulin Rouge (1952),
    Belly Of An Architect.

    MGM/UA also has Robocop Trilogy due out on June 8th. This set will include
    the extended version of Robocop as while as Robocop 2 and Robocop 3. All are
    in anamorphic and Dolby 5.1. The box set will go for $39.96. They also have
    the two sequels coming out on the same day for $14.95 each.

    Universal music as made a sudden reversal, all of the 20th Century Masters:
    series that was due for release this last Tuesday, are all now listed as
    postponed. No word as to any new date. Its a long list, please check the
    postponed list for all details. In answer to a few questions, when they are
    released the are supposed to be full video not just a DVD-Audio.

    HBO will release Six Feet Under: The Complete 2nd Season on June 8th. The
    technical specifications were given as Dolby 5.1 audio and full screen with
    a list price of $79.98. The extras include:
    Commentaries With Alan Ball, Writers and Directors on Episodes 1, 7, 19, 12,
    and 13

    Making of Featurette

    Party of Five: Complete First Season will be released by Fox on May 24th. It
    is set to have Dolby stereo audio and full screen video. Listing at $59.95
    the extras are slated for: Audio commentary with the cast

    Buena Vista will release Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (Special Edition) on
    August 31st. Listed as having anamorphic 1.66:1 video and Dolby 5.1 audio
    the list price is $29.99. Extras are stated as
    All New One By One Animated Short from the Makers of The Lion King.

    (Which, even at back-catalog full screen, blasts a certain OTHER movie
    unworthy of the name out of the water...)
