New Releases: Rundown, Brother Bear & Lexx: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info lists

    Acorn Media has something for the dedicated Lexx fan. On February 10th they
    will release Lexx S4 #6 for $24.98 (one disc), Lexx: 4th Series Part 1 and
    Lexx: 4th Series Part 2 (three discs each) for $39.98.

    A&E Video will release a documentary, The Statue Of Liberty on February
    24th.

    Buena Vista will release the 2003 drama Veronica Guerin on March 16th.
    Initial specs indicate Dolby 5.1 audio and anamorphic 2.35:1 video. The
    retail price was given as $29.95. Also from Buena Vista on March Dirty
    Pretty Things (2002) with stereo audio and anamorphic video and on the same
    date Magdalene Sisters (2002) featuring 5.1 audio and anamorphic video. Both
    of them are also listed at $29.95 each.

    British Horror Collection: Tower Of Evil / Inseminoid / Horror Hospital /
    Curse Of The Voodoo from Image has been recalled.

    Brentwood has a fairly large number of announcements that will street on
    February 3rd. Many are collections of genre related flicks, heavy on the
    horror, and some music discs and the typical retail price will be $9.98.
    Included are Def Leppard: Pyro-Graphic, AC/DC: Back In Black, Space Quest,
    Nightmares From The Crypt, Final Frontier, Attack Of The Monsters, Sherlock
    Holmes: Case Files, Alfred Hitchcock: 4 Tales Of Suspense, Beast Within:

    Brentwood has two collections of 'golden age' television episodes TV Time
    Comedy and Great Western TV Shows: 50 Episode Set. Each will be released on
    February 3rd for $9.98.

    For Spanish language film collectors Brentwood has Narco Clero: Trafico en
    la Catedral, Aventuras De Accion, Comicas Y De Aventuras, Semilla de Cholo
    and Semilla de Cholo 2 being released on February 3rd.

    Universal has Rundown, staring Christopher Walken and The Rock, on March
    23rd. Both an anamorphic 2.35:1 and a separate P&S version will be released.
    Both will have Dolby 5.1 audio. The extras were given as Commentary by
    Director Peter Berg and The Rock; Commentary by Producers Kevin Misher and
    Marc Abraham; Rumble in the Jungle; The Amazon, Hawaii Style; Appetite for
    Destruction; The Rundown Uncensored; Running Down the Town; Walken's World;
    Deleted Scenes; Cast and Filmmakers. The retail price was listed as $26.95.

    Also from Universal on March 26th are Beyond The Mat (Ringside Special
    Edition) ($19.95) and horror flick Skulls 3. The later in anamorphic 1.78:1
    video and Dolby 5.1 audio for $26.95.

    Buena Vista/Disney will release Brother Bear on March 30th. The disc will
    include Dolby 5.1 audio and have both P&S as well as an anamorphic transfer.
    Audio commentary by the moose characters Rutt and Tuke, animated out takes,
    deleted scenes and a new song by Phil Collins, The Fishing Song. Retail
    price is $29.99.

    More releases from Columbia/TriStar are planned for February 24th. Included
    are Chase (1966), Just One Of The Guys (1985), The Kiss (1996), Memories
    (1996), Motives and My Life Without Me. The initial technical specifications
    indicate they are mostly full screen and stereo.

    Ventura has the ten anniversary edition of Ozone set for release on $19.95.
    The extras are listed as Commentary with producer/director and star;
    Making-of-featurette; Behind-the-scenes footage; Location Tour; Early Test
    Footage; Scenes from the Spanish Language Version; Isolated Music Score;
    1992 B's Nest Video Magazine Intro; Production Still Gallery; Conceptual Art
    & Box Cover Gallery; Articles & Reviews Press Gallery; Trailers; Tempe DVD
    Trailers & Coming Attractions. Release date is currently January 6th.

    Ventura also has 360VM: Downshift, Ready Fire Aim and Session 1242 due for
    February 3rd. On February 10th F8. Set for February 17th Freeway Speedway 2
    and Grip: Street Racing Video #4.
