Warner Brothers made several announcements recently. Set for July 29th are
Asteroids: Deadly Impact, Caillou:The Train Trip And Other Adventures,
Caillou:The Treasure Hunt And Other Adventures, Sagwa: Feline Friends And
Family, Sagwa: Great Purr-Formances and Framed (2002/ Pan & Scan) all listed
as full screen and Dolby stereo. Except for Framed, which will run $24.98,
all have a suggested price of $19.98.

Most already know about this release set of titles but we finally got the
UPC verification in so they make it into the database. Fans of the classic
WB cartoons can look forward to Looney Tunes Golden Collection (Special
Edition), Looney Tunes: Stranger Than Fiction and Looney Tunes: Reality
Check due out on October 28th. Also on that date are Space Jam (2-Disc)
which will sport Dolby 5.1 audio and 1.85:1 anamorphic video.

Paramount is releasing more of their catalog as lower priced releases.
Although for some the initial announcements have indicated full screen I
spoke to a representative over at Paramount and it was confirmed that in
keeping with their 'commitment to original aspect ratios' most of the titles
will receive an anamorphic widescreen treatment. Of course this means that
films originally presented in 4:3 aspect will retain that for these
releases. This corrects the specifications previously announced for Browning
Version, Lipstick (both $9.98) and That Was Then This Is Now (1985) (for
$14.98). All of these titles are scheduled for release on October 14th. In
addition the newly announced titles are Dragonslayer (1981), Frankenstein
and the Monster from Hell and Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter for October
21st. Homecoming: A Christmas Story and Scrooge (1970) for September 23rd.
Italian Job (1969 / Special Collector's Edition) on October 28th. Dora The
Explorer: Meet Diego and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Season 5, Latham
Entertainment Presents and Original Latin Kings Of Comedy on October 7th.
Cool World, Fairytale: A True Story on November 11th. Joseph Andrews, King
David, Last Tycoon and Once Upon A Time in the West (Special Collector's
    Edition) for November 18th.

In the $7.98 on August 19th Alpha Video will release a number of horror,
drama and other genre flicks. The titles announced so far are Giant Of
Marathon, International Crime, Desperate Cargo, Dragnet: Volume 2, Circus Of
Fear, Vampire Happening, Blood Lust, Scream In The Night, Bird Of Paradise,
Amazing Transparent Man, Jackie Robinson Story, Man On The Eiffel Tower,
Revolt Of The Zombies, Shadow Strikes and Strangler Of Blackmoor Castle.

Ventura has a few martial arts double features ready for release on
September 23rd. Martial Arts Double Feature (Duel Of The 7 Tigers /
Invincible From Hell), Martial Arts Double Feature (High Voltage / Circus
Kids), Martial Arts Double Feature (Magnificent Kick / Butcher Wing) and
Martial Arts Double Feature (Shaolin Posse / Rickshaw Man) for $14.99 each.
The announcement indicated dubbed audio for the lot.

Fox has a number of multi-film theme packs ready for October 14th. The
technical specifications vary, pretty much just a repackaging of individual
releases. The sets have a suggested price of $89.98 each.

Rude 'N' Crude Comedies: Dude, Where's My Car?, Office Space, Super
Troopers, Shallow Hal, Freddy Got Fingered and Kung Pow: Enter The Fist.

Ultimate Chick Flick Collection: The Banger Sisters, Ever After, Moulin
Rouge (single disc version), Say Anything, Someone Like You and Where The
    Heart Is.

    Alaska.

Best Picture Collection ($49.98): All About Eve, Gentleman's Agreement, How
Green Was My Valley and Sunrise.

Also from Fox on that date are Home Alone / Casper Collection and Olive, The
    Other Reindeer.

Catcom has extended their Double Feature series set for August 12th with
some more titles. Each set includes a cartoon and short to emulate the old
time movie house experience. All go for $6.65 retail price. Fred Astaire
Double Feature: Royal Wedding / Second Chorus, Gangs Inc. / They Made Me A
Criminal! (Double Feature), North Star / The Stranger (Double Feature), At
