New Releases: Ned Kelly, Evlis flicks & Brentwood demise: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB &

    Major status changes to note. Brentwood has closed its doors and all of it's
    over 500 titles are now listed as discontinued. The parent company that
    owned Brentwood, ECI Eclipse, has been taken over by Navarre due to some
    serious financial flow troubles over at ECI. Some out there may want to
    check the discontinued list for any Brentwood titles you may want before
    they go out of stock with your favorite vendors.

    Universal has announced Ned Kelly, the 2003 remake, will be released on July
    27th. The initial specifications show Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic video. The
    extras announced so far include:
    Ned Kelly In Popular Culture
    The Real Kelly Gang
    Artist To Feature Comparison
    Theatrical Trailers
    the suggested price is $19.95.

    Also from Universal is Half-Caste set for release on August 3rd. The specs
    include widescreen but anamorphic has not been confirmed. List price is
    $27.98.

    Warner Brothers has some classic little horror flicks for release on August
    10th.
    Bad Seed (1956)
    Dead Ringer
    Village Of The Damned / Children Of The Damned
    Each will list for $19.97.

    There is another return of the king planed by Warner Brothers on August 3rd.
    Several of the films of Elvis Presley will street on that date. Included
    are:
    Harum Scarum
    It Happened At The World's Fair
    Speedway (1968)
    Spinout
    Double Trouble (1967)
    Trouble With Girls
    All are set for stereo audio and widescreen video. Again, no confirmation on
    whether they will be anamorphic. They will list for $14.97 each. No word yet
    as to if there will be a box set available.

    Goodfellas two disc special edition will be released by Warner Brothers on
    August 17th. The film will be presented in anamorphic video with Dolby 5.1
    audio. The extras are listed as including:

    Four Making Of and Behind The Scenes Documentaries
    Theatrical Trailer
    Suggested price is $24.98.

    Rhino has something for those that enjoy a Saturday morning series. Land Of
    The Lost: Complete 1st Season comes to DVD on June 29th listing for $39.95.
