New Releases: MR Ed, Green Acres & WB 2-Packs: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info lists

    For fans of classic sixties television MGM/UA has something you may enjoy.
    The complete first season of Green Acres and a best of collection of Mister
    Ed will be released on January 13th for $39.95 each set.

    Ventura has a series of foreign films coming out soon. All have English
    subtitles and will run $14.98. On January 6th they have El Apando. On
    January 20th Caballo Prieto Azabache (Villa's Horse) and Intimidades En Un
    Cuarto De Bano (Bathroom Mirror). Finally there is La Tia Alejandra (Aunt
    Alejandra), La Venganza De Gabino Barrera (The Vengeance Of Gabino Barrera)
    and Yo El Mujeriego (I Am A Womanizer).

    Goldhil Home Media has several installments of the Harlequin Romance Series
    on December 16th for $14.98. Included are Another Woman, At The Midnight
    Hour, Broken Lullaby and This Matter Of Marriage.

    HBO is joining the trend of repackaging previous releases as double feature
    packs. All are due out on November 18th and will run $29.96. Included are
    Chris Rock: Bigger And Blacker / Martin Lawrence: You So Crazy, Cannonball
    Run / Three Amigos, Gia / Bronx Tale, Last Of The Dogmen (Special Edition) /
    Tracker, Night Flier / Changeling and No Escape (Remastered Version) /
    Turbulence.

    Warner Brothers is also releasing a large number of two packs on November
    18th (basically the same distributor). In the latest round of studio
    announcements there were over sixty such sets. Almost every genre is
    represented so this may be a good way to increase your collection. Many of
    the sets came with a notice that they will be available only for a limited
    time. Among the more notable sets are Doc Hollywood / Grumpier Old Men,
    Action Jackson / Tango And Cash, Creepshow / House On Haunted Hill (1999/
    Warner Brothers), Deathtrap / Night Shift, Contact (Special Edition) /
    Outbreak, Dark City / Coma, Angel Eyes (2001/ Special Edition) / Frequency,
    Crush (1993) / Point Of No Return, Romeo Must Die / Art Of War, Treasure
    Island (1973/ Warner Brothers) / Quest For Camelot (Special Edition), Joe
    Versus The Volcano / Tin Cup, Passenger 57 / Murder At 1600, Under Siege /

    Full Metal Jacket (Regular Edition) / The Shining,Twister (1996/ Special

    Also a part of the Warner Brothers double features are some animated faire
    for consideration. Included are Cartoon Crack-Ups / Tom And Jerry: The
    Movie, Powerpuff Girls: Powerpuff Bluff / Samurai Jack: The Premiere Movie
    (Special Edition), Tom And Jerry: The Magic Ring / Tom And Jerry's Greatest
    Chases, Scooby-Doo 2-Pack: Scooby-Doo's Original Mysteries / Scooby-Doo's
    Spookiest Tales, Batman Beyond: The Movie / Batman Beyond: Return Of The
    Joker, Challenge Of The SuperFriends: Attack Of The Legion Of Doom /
    Challenge Of The SuperFriends: United They Stand and X-Men Evolution /

    the two packs. These are a major contributor to the 378 overall releases for
    November 18th.

    Naxos also adds to the November 18th release blitz with some classical music
    DVDs. Included are Cosi Fan Tutte: Mozart (2-Disc), Dancers Dream: Raymonda,
    Hildegard Von Bingen: In Portrait/Ordo Virtutum, Moon Water and Prokofiev:
    War & Peace (2-Disc). The retail price for each is $29.98.

    in several formats as well as daily changes. The official list now
    features34,710 titles with 441 additions or changes and 327 Pre-Release
    announcements. The All Titles list has 35,037 titles. Recent releases
