New Releases: Less Pie, Spin City, Saved by the Bell: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info

    On August 26th Universal will release Spin City: Michael J. Fox - His
    All-Time Favorites #1 and Spin City: Michael J. Fox - His All-Time Favorites
    #2. These are episodes selected by Michael J. Fox in an effort to push a
    slightly different angle on a best of collection instead of a full season
    set. Each set will run $29.99 and will have Dolby Surround audio and full
    screen.

    Taking the opposite approach is TriMark with the September 2nd release of
    Saved By The Bell Seasons: 1 & 2. This two season set goes for $49.99. They
    also have Will And Grace: Season 1 due out on August 12th for $44.99.

    Coming out for July 1st are a few titles from Arrow. One set brings a
    different meaning to the movie terms of "roll 'em" and "run your lines".
    Reefer Madness / Cocaine Fiends originally intended as precautionary tales
    have become cult classics. Also from Arrow are Mondo Cane / Mondo Pazzo and
    Dog Eat Dog / She Demons.

    Buena Vista is pushing two packs again. August 19th brings Others & Signs
    2-Pack for $29.99 followed by the September 2nd release of Tarzan & Jane and
    The 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure 2-Pack and Tarzan & Jane and
    The Rookie 2-Pack. All sets are listed as Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic video.

    VAS Entertainment has the September 2nd release of their Expedition series
    which includes at this point Expeditions #1: Everest The Mountain at the
    Millennium / The North Face Expeditions Center, Expeditions #2: Madagascar A
    Woman's First Ascent / Great Trango Tower A Granite Mile High and
    Expeditions #3: Shishapangma A Celebration of Life / Himalaya Descending
    India.

    For more family oriented faire Goldhil Home Media has a blitz of Little
    House. July 8th will bring Little House On The Prairie: The Pilot, Little
    House On The Prairie: Journey Into Spring, Little House On The Prairie::
    I'll Be Waving As You Drive Away, Little House On The Prairie: Season 1 and
    Little House On The Prairie: Season 2. The TV movies run $14.98 each while
    the season sets will cost you $49.95.

    Confirmed as discontinued. Sony Music: Beavis And Butt-Head Do Christmas.
    Artisan: Cecil B. Demented (Movie-Only Edition). Criterion: Silence Of The
    Lambs (Special Edition). Image: This Island Earth, Blithe Spirit, They Live,
    Tales From The Crypt: Bordello Of Blood. Universal Music: Freddie Mercury:
    The Video Collection. USA: Last Days of Disco. Check the rescheduled list.
    Some titles may have been re-released.

    Confirmed as Cancelled. USA: Hoosiers, Valley Girl, Sure Thing (Movie-Only
    Edition), Salvador (Special Edition), The Producers, Platoon (Movie-Only
    Edition), Honeymoon In Vegas. Again, some titles may have been re-released.

    The number of American Pie/American Pie sets has been reduced from a grand
    total of 26 variations to a mere 22. Four of the upcoming re-releases have
    been listed as cancelled. American Pie / Beneath The Crust: The Ultimate
    Guide... #1 (Taco Case/ R / LBX/ Side-By-Side), American Pie 2 / Beneath The
    Crust: The Ultimate Guide... #2 (Taco Case/ R/ LBX/ Side-By-Side), American
    Pie / Beneath The Crust: The Ultimate Guide... #1 (Taco Case/ R/ P&S/
    Side-By-Side) and American Pie 2 / Beneath The Crust: The Ultimate Guide...
    #2 (Taco Case/ R/ P&S/ Side-By-Side) will not be released according to an
    announcement from Universal. It seems they are reconsidering the side by
    side format.

    Triumph Marketing will release The Point on August 19th. This classic
    animation is based on the songs and stories of Harry Nilsson. It will be in
    Dolby 5.1 audio with full screen video.

    Universal will release Ffolkes on August 12th. The specifications currently
    show non anamorphic video and Dolby stereo sound.

    For those that can't get enough Osbournes, Kelly Osbourne: Papa Don't
    Preach (DVD Single) which will be released on July 1st by Sony Music.

    Buena Vista has announced that Holes and Chicago will both be released in
    separate pan&scan and widescreen versions. Holes full screen will be UPC
    786936225495, the widescreen 786936224290, release date of September 23rd.
    For Chicago the full screen is 786936227956, widescreen 786936219197,
    release date August 19th.

    Buena Vista has also confirmed Alias: The Complete 1st Season (Special
    Edition) being released on September 2nd will feature 5.1 audio and
    anamorphic video.
