New Releases: Hoffa SE, Thirteen & Duplex: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info lists

  1. Buena Vista starts off the new month with a few new release announcements.
    The nightmare neighbor is taken to the extreme with Duplex staring Drew
    Barrymore and Ben Stiller. Featuring Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic audio this
    film will hit DVD on March 3rd for a retail price of $29.99. On February
    27th they have American Gun ready for release retailing at $19.95. This one
    is listed as having Dolby Surround sound and anamorphic video.

    Buena Vista will release the 'R' rated version of My Boss's Daughter on
    February 3rd. Technical specs are Dolby 5.1 audio and anamorphic video. The
    listed extras include Outtakes, Behind the Scenes Special: "A Look Behind My
    Boss's Daughter", Tara Reid Audition Tape and a Deleted Scene Easter Egg.
    Suggested price is $19.95.

    Cold Creek Manor will be released by Buena Vista on March 2nd. Staring
    Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Juliette Lewis, Christopher Plummer and Stephen
    Dorff, this thriller will sport Dolby 5.1 audio and anamorphic 1.85:1 video.
    The announced extras included Deleted Scenes, Rules Of The Genre-Director,
    Mike Figgis Gives Insights into Creating a Psychological Thriller, Cooper's
    Documentary-A Unique Look at the Creation of the Documentary of the History
    of Cold Creek Manor and the Massie Family, Audio Commentary With Director
    and Bonus Alternate Ending. List price is $29.99.

    Fox has Hoffa: Special Edition set for release on January 27th. This edition
    will include Dolby 5.1 audio and anamorphic 2.35:1 video. The extras were
    given as including; Commentary by Director Danny Devito, Excised Scenes
    (With Intro by Director Danny Devito), News Coverage of Hoffa, Personal
    Annecdotes From Members Of The Teamster's Union, Special Shots, Storyboards:
    The Early Days Starry Road 136 Stills, Kreger Market 34 Stills, The Alley 8
    Stills, Flynn Hospital 13 Stills, Kreger Strike 52 Stills, Social

    Fox has a film called the most brutal look at young teenagers since Larry
    Clarke's 'Kids'. Thirteen (2003) will be released on January 27th. The audio
    is listed as Dolby 5.1 with widescreen video. Anamorphic has not yet been
    confirmed. There will also be a P&S version on the same disc. The extras are
    listed as One Commentary Track Featuring: Director/Co-Writer Commentary by
    Catherine Hardewicke, Co-Writer/Actress Commentary by Nikki Reed, Actor
    Commentary by Evan Rachel Wood and Brady Corbet
    Making Of Featurette, Theatrical Trailer and 2 Easter Eggs. Suggested retail
    price is $19.95.

    For something a good deal lighter Fox will release Le Divorce staring Kate
    Hudson and Naomi Watts on January 27th. It is listed as having both
    anamorphic 2.40:1 anamorphic video and P&S on the same disc with Dolby 5.1
    audio all for a list price of $27.98.

    From Fox Television Futurama: Volume 3 (Special Edition) will hit the
    shelves on March 9th for a list price of $49.95. They also have Cops: Bad
    Girls, Cops: Caught In The Act and Cops: Shots Fired ready for March 23rd.
    Each is stated as having 17 minutes of footage 'too explicit' for
    television. Each disc wil cost $14.98 or you can get the three pack for
    $39.98.

    Trimark will extend the Saturday Night Live Best of collection with Saturday
    Night Live: The Best Of Phil Hartman, Saturday Night Live: The Best Of Chris
    Rock and Saturday Night Live: The Best Of Eddie Murphy, due out on February
    24th at $14.99 each.
