New Releases: Hidalgo, Big Bounce, New Criterion: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info lis

    Buena Vista has Hidalgo featuring Viggo Mortensen set for release on August
    3rd. I only received the initial announcement so far but the studio
    representative is certain there will be a Dolby 5.1 audio and anamorphic
    2.35:1 video. No word yet on the extras. The suggested retail price will be
    $29.95.

    Goldhil Home Media has a far number of children/family oriented titles due
    out on June 30th. With a couple of exceptions each title will list for
    $19.98. Included are:

    In Your Wildest Dreams
    Lost In The Barrens
    Nicholas' Gift (Goldhil Home Video)

    The announcements listed each title retailing for $8.75.

    The Big Bounce (the 2004 remake) will be released by Warner Brother on July
    20th. There will be separate P&S and anamorphic widescreen versions. Both
    will have Dolby 5,1 audio track. The announce extras include:
    The Big Bounce: A Con in the Making,
    Wicked Waves - stunt surfer outtakes
    Surfing the Pipeline: Surfing in the Aloha State
    Outtake reel
    Trailers
    The retail price will be $27.98. For $2.00 more you can get the two pack
    including the original 1969 version.

    Music Video Distribuitor will release a couple of music sets on June 15th.
    The initial announced specifications indicate both will be Dolby 5.1 and
    full screen and list for $19.95:

    Aaliyah: So Much More Than A Woman

    Also from MVD on July 13th is Robbie Williams: Whole Story with a suggested
    price of $14.95.

    Red Distribution has a batch of inexpensive multi-film packs set for release
    on June 1st as part of their VIntgage Collection. Included so far are:
