New Releases: Dead Zone, Will & Grace, Re-released Battlestar: Complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & inf

    The year of announcements closes with some minor titles from Madacy. Most
    are $5.98 list with stereo/full screen specs. Included are David & Goliath,
    Easy Kill, Edge Of Power, Fatal Passion, Interview With A Serial Killer,
    Jewel Of The Gods, Baby Brown, Deadly Exposure, High Risk (1981), Night
    Slave, Piece Of Eden and Piranha. Release date is set for February 10th.

    On March 16th Artisan has the 1987 remake, And God Created Woman. Roger
    Vadim re-visited his classic 1956 film recasting it with Donovan Leitch,
    Frank Langella, Jamie McEnnan, Judith Chapman, Rebecca De Mornay and Vincent
    Spano. The initial specifications indicated pan and scan video and stereo
    audio. The list price was given as $14.95.

    Universal has Battlestar Galactica: Complete Epic Series (Special Edition)
    set for February 10th. This is apparently a reissue of the October 21st
    release. It looks like the same six disc set but with a different UPC. The
    October 21st edition was 025192307126 while this was announced with
    025192488627. As with the other release the retail price is $119.95. The
    difference is apparently more traditional packaging replacing the Cyclon
    head pack of the original release.

    Columbia/TriStar did manage to come up with a couple of announcements to
    help close out the year. Seventies cult classic television series Starsky
    And Hutch: Complete 1st Season will be released on March 2nd for a list
    price of $49.95. The technical specs are full screen and stereo audio. Also
    on that date from Columbia are Hustle And Heat, Doctor Faustus, Three
    Stooges: Stooges And The Law and the Prisoner (1923).

    On February 10th Warner Brothers has a few titles for the family. Baby
    Looney Tunes' Eggs-traordinary Adventure (W/Baby Tweety Toy), Baby Looney
    Tunes' Eggs-traordinary Adventure (W/Toy) at $19.97 each and Teletubbies:
    Oooh! and Marco Polo: Return To Xanadu for $14.97 each.

    Lion's Gate has Searching For Debra Winger set for release on March 2nd.
    Directed by actress Rosanna Arquette this documentary looks at the obstacles
    encountered by women in the entertainment industry. Included are scenes with
    Laura Dern, Teri Garr, Gwyneth Paltrow, and many more. The retail list price
    is $24.95.

    Fans of actress Gina Girshon can look forward to a couple of releases also
    from Lion's Gate. Prey For Rock & Roll, Girshon's opus of a female rock
    group, which prompted her touring with a group, will hit the streets on
    March 9th. On March 16th they have Demonlover, also featuring Chloe Sevigny
    in both R-Rated and Unrated formats, each listing for $24.95.. Initial
    technical specifications for both films indicate Dolby 5.1 audio and
    anamorphic video. Demonlover is reported to also have a DTS track.

    Rounding out the releases from Lion's Gate are Shattered Glass on March 16th
    and Serial Killing 4 Dummys and Stealing Candy on March 30th.

    A couple of popular television series will have complete seasons released by
    Trimark. Dead Zone: Complete 2nd Season hits DVD on March 16th for $49.95
    followed by Will And Grace: Season 2 on March 23rd for $44.95.

    Some music DVDs coming out from WEA. On January 27th they have Essential
    Music Videos: Pop Metal, Essential Music Videos: Classic '80s, Essential
    Music Videos: '90s Rock, Essential Music Videos: Alternative Metal and
    Essential Music Videos: Alternative Rock.

    Showtime has Roman Spring Of Mrs. Stone due out on March 23rd and Boys Of
    2nd Street Park due out on March 16th.

    Recent reviews include Seabiscuit, Firefly, Taken, X2: X Men United and T3.
    Classic reviews include 12 Angry Men, Bedford Incident and Them. Coming
