New Releases: Cheers & Fraiser Sesason 2, MI-5: Updated complete downloadabe R1 DVD DB & info lists

    It looks like we are in for another round of studio repackaged sets.
    Dreamworks has announced that Minority Report / A.I. Artificial Intelligence
    (Special Edition/ Pan & Scan/ Back-To-Back) and Minority Report / A.I.
    Artificial Intelligence (Special Edition/ Widescreen)
    Widescreen/ Back-To-Back) will street on December 9th. Looks like the side
    by side versions will be announced shortly for the same date. Just more of
    what is becoming a big trend for the major studios. The technical
    specifications are identical to the original releases. Each set will retail
    for $32.95. Also on that date and for the same price are Catch Me If You Can
    / Almost Famous (Value Pack), Gladiator / The Last Castle (Value Pack) and
    Saving Private Ryan/Amistad (Value Pack).

    Paramount has some television series on DVD coming soon. December 2nd brings
    MTV: Making The Band 2 The Best Of Season 1 for $19.95. On January 6th there
    will be the release of Cheers: The Complete Second Season and Frasier:
    Complete Second Season for $49.95 each, and for younger viewers Spongebob
    Squarepants: The Seascape Capers and Charlie Brown Valentine for $19.98
    each.

    Warner Brothers will release on January 13th the popular British spy
    thriller Spooks under the American release name of MI-5. Volume one will
    retail for $49.95. They are also releasing Jackson Browne: Running On Empty
    (DVD-Audio) featuring Dolby 5.1 audio on October 28th.

    From the music division f Warner there is Barenaked Ladies: Everything To
    Everyone (CD/DVD-Audio Combo Pack) due out on October 21st for $24.98. They
    also have the music that helped make the Exorcist famous, Mike Oldfield:
    Tubular Bells 2003 (DVD-Audio). This anniversary edition will have Dolby 5.1
    audio and run $17.98. If the older style of music is more your taste then
    you may want to check out Rat Pack - Live And Swingin': Live At Villa Venice
    also with remixed Dolby 5.1 audio. Both of these will come out on October
    28th.

    Buena Vista has Lion King 1 1/2 set for release on February 10th. This two
    disc set is a sequel to the hit animated flick and has listed as extras
    Deleted Scenes; Find The Hidden Mickesy; Who Wants To Be King Of The
    Jungle?; Timon & Pumbaa's Virtual Safari 1.5; The Making Of; Timon: Beyond
    The Legend; Nathan Lane Audio Outtakes; Name That Character; Music Videos.
    It is listed as having Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic video. The price will be
    $29.99.

    Buena Vista also has some preliminary announcements slated for March 3rd.
    While the UPCs have been issued with announcements this far out technical
    specifications are subject to revision. Most are family flicks and all are
    set for a $19.98 price. Included so far for this release date are American
    Dream (documentary), Curdled, Gnome Mobile, Miracle At Midnight, Miracle Of
    The White Stallions, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Night Crossing and Picture Bride.

    A.D. Vision adds to their syndicated television releases with Mutant X:
    Season 1: Volume 7 (Special Edition) on December 9th for $24.98 and
    Andromeda #3.2 on December 30th for $39.98.

    Announced in the monthly Image blitz was Lost World: Season One set for
    release on December 2nd. This set has the complete first season of the
    syndicated television show and is priced at $59.99.

    Stop by for a complete downloadable information list of all region one DVDs
    in several formats as well as daily changes. The official list now
    features33,824 titles with 320 additions or changes and 374 Pre-Release
    announcements. The All Titles list has 34,198 titles. Recent releases
    include: Last Week 251, This Week 346 and Next Week 291 titles.

    Previews of Taken, Sopranos Season 4, Matrix Reloaded, Hulk, Avril Lavigne:
    My World and 28 Days Later. Reviews of Scarface(1983), Scarface (1932),
    Smallville, In Cold Blood, Kiss Symphony, Outer Limits Season 2, The Two
    Towers, Chicago and All That Jazz. Past film reviews include Wait Until
    Dark, Daredevil, Them, May, Phone Booth, Gangs of New York, Spun, Killing
    Me Softly, Real Women Have Curves, The Day the Earth Stood Still , Them,
