    A mini blitz of new announcements cam in from MGM/UA. For fans of the Sidney
    Tolner Charlie Chan flicks made during World War Two there is something to
    look forward to. On July 14th MGM has ready for release the following:
    Charlie Chan In The Chinese Cat,
    Charlie Chan In The Jade Mask,
    Charlie Chan In The Secret Service,
    Charlie Chan's Meeting At Midnight (Black Magic),
    Charlie Chan's Scarlet Clue,
    Charlie Chan's Shanghai Cobra.
    Each title is in Dolby Mono and full screen and will have a retail price tag
    of $14.95.

    Also from MGM on July 6th are a few of the comedies in their catalog.
    Included are:
    Kotch,
    Lovers And Other Strangers (1970),
    Suppose They Gave A War & Nobody Came?,
    Take The Money And Run (Re-Release).
    Each of these titles will also list for $14.95.

    Manchurian Candidate (Special Edition / New Release) will be released by MGM
    on July 13th. This new transfer will feature Dolby 5.1 and the original mono
    audio and an anamorphic 1.75:1 video. The stated extras include:

    A good number of people out there are going to be glad about an announcement
    from BFS Entertainment. The 1997 Australian independent film, Under The
    Lighthouse Dancing, will be released on July 6th. Look for a very young
    Naomi Watts in this one. The list price was given as $19.98. So far from the
    preliminary announcement it looks like Dolby Stereo and full screen.
