netflow analyzers

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Sven Juergensen, Mar 30, 2005.

  1. hi people,

is there an opensource netflow analyzer
anyone of you has made solid experiences
with? ideally one, that's able to put
graphs into rrd like out of the box.

right now i'm eyeing flowc or stager.

    anything would be helpful. emphasis
being _opensource_; i'm not looking for
    any commercial solutions ;)

    thanks and cheers,

    sven

    Hi Sven,

You may wish to investigate "ntop."

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    As well as "flow-tools."

    http://www.splintered.net/sw/flow-tools/

to be used in conjunction with "FlowScan."

The Swiss Education & Research Network has it all conveniently listed:

Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) which Identifies which users, applications, and protocols are consuming the most network bandwidth and highlights the IP addresses of the top talkers on the network.
It also Maps the traffic arriving from designated ports, source IPs, destination IPs, and even protocols, to application names you can easily recognize.
    Check at SolarWinds Website.
