Netflix mailer issues - bad batch of mailers out there

Discussion in 'DVD Video' started by Incremental Jones, Jan 11, 2005.

  1. I've been getting a lot of bad mailers lately. Looks like they got a bad
batch of envelopes with the tops printed backwards. The adhesive strip is on
the front/top right instead of the back/bottom left. I even received an
empty mailer recently, just the front page with my address, no envelope
section, no disk. Sure enough, the adhesive strip is in the wrong place, on
the top flap where my address is instead of the bottom envelope section
where their return address is. It even says "Tear here" where you are just
supposed to fold the adhesive over. I am delayed at least two disks because
of this snafu and of course, there is no option to report that on their
shipping problem page, and no credit given.

    Anyone else notice this?

I got one last week where the edge with the adhesive strip was
completely slit -- as if someone had slit it open to remove the disc.
    Fortunately the disc was okay.

Just report it as 'never arrived'.

But that will just chalk the disk up to being 'lost in the mail'. They
won't know that the source of the problem is at their facility.

Personally, I'd do that though... report it as 'never arrived'. But in
addition, go to the Help page, choose "Missing a DVD", then at the bottom of
the next page choose "Email Customer Service" where you can fire off a
    message via their website.

I am getting a lot of these. I have to use tape when I send them back.
