need program to have Windows startup the same each time....

  1. Hi there,

I did some teaching at a college a while ago and in the lab the computers started up the same configuration each time. In other words, any changes the users may have made were wiped out upon restart.

There was a program in the systems to enable XP to do this. I can't remember what the name of it was...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Gordon

You might be thinking of Windows SteadyState, which now supports Vista:
