    In my programmes Folder I found a folder & file f9cbe165e7f92c577df1 Any
    one any idea what it is ??

    A virus?
    A temporary file for an application?
    Have you run a virus scan?

    Yes, it's a f9cbe165e7f92c577df1 folder & file in your programmes Folder.
    It is useless, delete both.

    Some of the Microsoft upgrades (e.g. SP2 for XP) seem to decompress
    into directories whose names are a long random string beginning with a
    digit.

    It's a Microsoft update.

    If it's still there after a reboot...you can delete it

    If it's still there after a reboot...you can delete it

    I have moved it to desk top if everything continues to operate I will
    eventually delete
