    Hello,

My name is Todd. I'm working on a dissertation (UMASS, Amherst) about
lost and found personal photographs. I have a website that explains my
project. I'm collecting stories (you can call in your story or email
your story--I prefer the calls because I'm creating a DVD project from
the calls and interviews I will conduct with some participants- you
can hear examples on my website). The website is www.lostandfoundphotos.org.
I bet many of you have stories of losing and finding personal
photographs. Some have emailed asking if I'm only looking for stories
about film. . . No. I'm looking for all kinds of stories. I've gotten
some great ones about digital (I always say a hard drive crash is like
a house fire). I'd love to hear form you.

    Best,
    Todd
