I've got a Windows NT 4.0 system which has MS Outlook on it. Outlook starts
dirt slow. I have tried deleting the outcmd.dat file and letting Outlook
recreate it. That sped up the program for awhile, but it is back in the mud.
I have also deleted the entire profile and recreated it. Still slow.

Does anyone have any other avenues that I can go to try and speed up
Outlook? If not, I will swap out machines.

    Thanks for the help.

Try running the scanpst to scan the pst for errors. This program comes
bundled with OUtlook. You'll just need to search the hard drive for scanpst
program, point the program to look at outlook.pst
It'll take about 10 minutes to scan and fix all the errors.
