Mozilla Labs On GitHub

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Lawrence D'Oliveiro, Aug 30, 2010.

  1. Four years ago, Mozilla was looking at moving away from CVS to putting its
code into a modern, distributed version-control system. After looking at all
the options, they found the Git scored the highest in all their criteria
except one—that it work nicely under Windows. So they chose to go with
    Mercurial.

Now they’ve decided to make a few of their projects available via public Git
respositories as an alternative to Mercurial

Though interestingly, Firefox isn’t in that list.
