  1. I have msn.com as my home page, but before it goes there it shows
    go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=65197. What is this and can I get rid of
    it?

    Anyways, it might be because its detecting where you
    live and try to show the page on your country location.

    Otherwise, you should go and ask the msn.com people.
