more than one process running (outlook)

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by PigSkin the Evil Twin, Dec 3, 2004.

  1. Hi,
A friend of mine has Microsoft Outlook and Windows XP. She will open and
close Outlook numerous times throughout the day to read her e-mail. At the
end of the day she notices in the process manager that she has about 5 or 6
Outlooks running, even though she doesn't have it open. Any way to stop them
from building up in the process manager?

  3. Thanks, Franklin.
    I'm sure she'll like it.

The reason for that is incorrect program closure. If she is closing by
means of the "top right close window" icon , the program stays resident.

Use File>Exit and this will not occur.
