Hi = I was a happy man in ignorance of the perils of dial up problems
until I installed BT Modem Protection!.

Now that BT is showing all the dial out attempts it has screwed my
enjoyment on scanning the Internet. (I daily run Spybot etc)

It occurs to me that what we need is a piece of s/w that simply shows
the phone number currently being used by the modem. As one of the main
problems is the stealth re-routing through a Premium number of the
current connection, say to the IP, then if the number remains the
intended one then all is OK.

I have not been able to locate any such s/w on Google, has anyone any
    ideas please?
