Hi, I'm trying to view some media clips from a website [1] but have
experienced problems viewing whilst streaming. Instead I've obtained what I
think are the full URLs of the media streams and have been attempting to
download them using ASFRecorder. I have isolated the URLs as follows:

    (56k stream)
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter1_l
    o.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter2_l
    o.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter3_l
    o.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter4_l
    o.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter5_l
    o.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter6_l
    o.wmv
    (DSL stream)
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter1_h
    i.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter2_h
    i.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter3_h
    i.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter4_h
    i.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter5_h
    i.wmv
    mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontline/1911/windows/chapter6_h
    i.wmv

I created a batch file which called the ASFRecorder given each URL but the
program consistently returns the message ''connect() failed: TIMEOUT'. Can
anyone give me any advice or suggest a different method/program?

And I don't suppose you read:

"Due to heavy demand video may not always be available due to
server capacity. Please try back later if you're having problems."
