Minolta DiMAGE F400, to be or not to be?

Discussion in 'Digital Photography' started by Neil Harrington, Mar 5, 2004.

  1. The Minolta F100 won C|Net's Best Digital Camera award a couple of years
ago. Its successor the F300 was even better (it's one of my favorites: I
have two of 'em). The later F200 was never sold in the U.S. and, to my mind
at least, does not seem as appealing a camera as the first two.

What about the F400? The only places I've seen it mentioned have been German
sites that advertise leather cases for the F400/F300/F200/F100 Minoltas,
indicating that a) there was at least the expectation that there would be an
F400, and b) it would be similar in body shape and size to the previous
models. But what's the story, is there going to be an F400 or not?

    Does anyone know?
