HELP. I just installed Microsoft Outlook 2003 and whenever I try to open
Outlook 2003 (for email) I get the message that the microsoft exchange
server is unavailable. Nothing I can do will open the program. I instead
have to use an Microsoft Outlook Express, which has NO problem at all
    connecting.

Is this for your home acct? If so you have settinga incorrect, you need to
be using the pop/smtp settings most likely.

It (OE) won't as is a different category of product home v office. It's
the mode OL runs in , IMO Internet Mail Only or Corporate/Workgroup
mode. (that's 2 big hints for a Google search)

You need to change the Mail Profile (can't remember exactly) from Office
(i.e. corporate) to the Internet pop/smtp.

For a while the Mail icon (it's the Services tab) sat in Control Panel,
    I suspect it's still there.

With www.google.com and the OL help files you should be able to get
notes on and the settings you need to change.

You need to change the settings to POP this is done from the control panel
    on the mail icon.
