Memory for application use.

  1. Currently we run a 64bit 2003 Enterprise Server with Oracle 10g 64bit on it.

The server has 10gigs of ram. Oracle is set to take 7 gigs for itself. Yet
windows keeps setting up a System Cache of 6gigs.

For awhile, I was able to have the System cache set around 500 megs...and
then the Oracle.exe process would utilize all 7 gigs but over night System
Cache balooned to 6 gigs and now ORacle.exe is only using 2.5 gigs (rest is
    in Swap file...blech)

Any ideas where I should look to resolve this?
