MCSE - exchange server

Discussion in 'Microsoft Certification' started by =?Utf-8?B?TW9oYW4gTWF0aGV3?=, Oct 2, 2006.

  1. I have certified in Windows 2000 with security as elective. Now I would like
to upgrade my MCSE. If I take the exchange server 2003, is it possible to
change my certification to MCSE: security & messeging??? Any help would be
    apprectiated.

    Hi Matthew,

If you are an MCSE on Windows 2000, and want to upgrade to MCSE:Messaging on
Windows Server 2003 then you are four exams away. Follow this path:

    1. take the two upgrade exams (70-292 and 70-296), to make your MCSE on
    Windows Server 2003.
    2. Pass the two Messaging Specialization exams (70-285 - Designing a
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Organization, and 70-284 - Implementing and
    Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003).

Good luck and let us know how you do!

  5. Hi Matthew,

What Monteal MCT was saying is that if you are currently MCSE 2000 without
the M for Messaging you first have to upgrade your MCSE to the 2003 level.
When that is done you have to do the two Messaging exams
When you have passed the two exams to upgrade the MCSE and the Two exams to
have the Messaging Specialization... Only then you will have the MCSE + M
    credentials on 2003.

    I hope this helps...

    Arno

    Hi Matthew,

Yes to upgrade your MCSE you do need two exams. For the MCSE:Messaging you
    need four.

  10. Hi!

Thank you Montreal and Arno. The information was indeed. One more thing I
need to know is that, if I take the Exchange server 2003 exam alone what will
be my status. MCP in 2003?
