    RTFEPG (Read the fine exam preparation guide.)
    It (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-270.asp) states:
    "When you pass the Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft
    Windows XP Professional exam, you achieve Microsoft Certified Professional
    status. "
    So the answer to your question is yes, but if you read the guide you would
    have known that. If you didn't read the guide, you shouldn't take the exam.
