MCE ?

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?UXVhc3JlYWQ=?=, Jan 15, 2006.

  1. Looking into building a new computer that would serve many different
functions. One of which would be to utilize MCE. Would one have to buy the XP
MCE then upgrade it to XP 64? To get the best of both worlds, in a matter of
speaking. Or will there be a MCE patch available?

The upgrade path will be available end of year when Vista is released. MCE
    is a 32 bit OS.

  3. Windows XP MCE is a 32 bit operating system, there is no downgrade or
upgrade path to Windows XP Professional x64. Like Bill said, Windows Vista
will have both 64-bit and Media Center capabilities.
