Mapping problem

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?TXVyYWxpcmFqIE1lbm9u?=, Oct 5, 2006.

  1. I have a system with Windows XP Professional OS installed. I have couple of
mapped drives in it over the network. The problem starts when I leave the
system idle for sometime. The mapped drives gets disabled but as soon as I
double click on the drives they get activated again. Why is this so? I have
also unchecked the power management options for the NIC, but still the
    problem persists.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this problem.

Note also that this newsgroup is focussed on 64-bit editions of Windows,
XP Pro is not a 64-bit OS.
