When I try to run the Show Map option of MapIt!, I get a warning window that
    says:
    "how'd this happen?"

I am using Firefox 1.0.4. but it was giving the same warning window with
ver. 1.0.3. With previous versions it was working fine...

    Thanks.

MapIt! 0.6 is a Firefox extension that I downloaded from a site called
    http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/

    Does this answer your question?

    Right-click -> MapIt! -> Show Map
That's when I get an alert window that says "how'd this happen?".

As I asked, what text have you selected when you select Show Map?

    Show Map of what?

Forget MapIt and Streetmap. Google Maps with vector mapping and
draggable maps is much much better. http://www.maps.google.com. All we
need is a Google Map extension.

After one right-clicks, selects MapIt! and then chooses Show Map, a window
is supposed to pop up. Within this window one would have to MANUALLY type
an address (the address has to be in the USA). There's no option for
selecting (highlighting) an address shown on a web page and then have it
    mapped by MapIt!.
The pop-up window I am talking about does not show up. Instead, a warning
window pops up that says: "how'd this happen?".

MapIt! was working fine until I upgraded to Firefox 1.0.3 and 1.0.4.
