Make Firefox the default browser?

Discussion in 'Firefox' started by Marek Williams, Aug 7, 2005.

  1. For the past couple of years Internet Explorer on my Windows 2000
desktop has been blocked from sending or receiving in my firewall.
    Instead, I used Opera.

While Opera is nice, I recently switched to Firefox, and I like it
better than Opera. But when I click on a link (e.g., in an e-mail) it
pops up Opera instead of Firefox.

I'm sure it is a simple trick to change the default browser to
Firefox, but I can't figure it out. Also, can I make it open the link
in a new tab in the existing window, rather than opening a new window
or using the currently selected tab?

    TIA

If it does not work, try SetBrowser (Google is your friend ;) )
