    Hi,

I have a customer who is using a Mac X system. She has static ip
information but it is not allowing her to get online and access some shared
files. She doesn't have any computer experience, but someone told her it
would be a "piece of cake" to set up herself. There is a router involved.
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing.

    Thanks

Click on the apple>system preferences>network. Show-built in Ethernet,
tcp/ip tab>select Using DHCP, apply changes. Configure router with static IP
    address.
