I hate Nerd; it has these alluring possibilities that do not work as
    they should.
For example, i wasted a long day trying to use the HTML from its
    "conversion" capabilities.
Mind you, M$ sells browsers that interpret HTML fairly accurately,
so one would expect that they would know what their own damn
    browser can do.
    BUT.
Nerd, in its wisDUMB, cannot place an image anywhere on the page
other than the left or the right and insults one with the lie that a
    browser cannot support variable positioning.
Also, it makes a rather complex file set that is completely
    unnecessary,
having TWO picture files for each original picture (one is .PNG and
    the
    other is the original).
And the HTML code is extremely long and unnecessarily complicated.
Impossible to figure out what can be snipped out.
And not everything is brought across..the greyed text is lost (no
"preliminary", no "Analog.." for the footers.
Oh, yes, one of my pet peeves of *all* HTML "pages" i have seen on
the web: NO PAGES! Just one superlongrunalongjumpinthelakepage.
In the process of trying (failed) to convert the Nerd DOC files to
    decent
and similar-looking HTML files, i found that IT IS POSSIBLE to have
real pages with headers and footers!

    Loaded and tried M$ Publisher...POS!
The tables and pictures all got moved and crowded on top of each
    other
on the first page, making a rather nasty mess.
After wasting *hours* to make it look fairly decent (same BS
    concerning
greyed text), i discover that it wants to maks the pages a composite
    *picture* (!!).
And if i remove all of the pictures and tables from a page, it
    stupidly
maintains that the page is *blank*.
I also found that it writes a different HTML file for each and every
    page.
From that, is how i discovered a trick to have one HTML file that
has multiple pages with headers and footers.
Granted, one must add some code by hand, but it is not too bad.

Net result = no HTML for the datasheets!
Found out how to make PDF files where the links have a chance of
    working.
And at least they have the greyed text, the headers, the footers as
in the original Nerd DOC file.

Wasted over 2 daze to get a reasonable solution.
