...lookingfor a decent avi editor...

    ....i need an avi editor that is efficient
    and simple use...

    .....is the one out there that works on the
    process of using 2 'pointers'...first one
    moves to where you wish the cut to
    begin...and the second moves to where
    the cut ends...

    ....all info in between becomes the new
    avi...

    freeware preferably...shareware acceptable
    as long as you get full functions during trial
    phase...

    Too bad, you want freebie. If you tried Sony's Vegas Video for a short
    while, you'd throw rocks at all the other programs out there. It's so
    much more powerful than what you describe, you wouldn't believe it. Have
    you tried MS Movie Maker? It's included with XP.

    That's how QuickTime Pro works.

    Even better for features, but much harder to work with, is the Avid
    free editor.
