Locking Zone Alarm - Good vibes.

    Performance ceases to spike. Good progams trying to be helpful via the
    web, go to bed.

    Closing off all ports prevents queries from "good" programs from going
    bad from where I'm sitting.

    If the port isn't available, no queries are made and system performance
    is nice. I like nice.

    Just an interesting observation.

    (Zone alarm is a firewall. Right clicking gives the option to lock down
    a PC's internet traffic... And requests, apparently.)
