I have a cisco 4506, there is a w3k server connected on two ports
    using load balancing.

    In the log is see...

    Nov 3 14:47:30: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi3/5 and port Gi6/3
    Nov 3 14:47:44: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi6/3 and port Gi3/5
    Nov 3 14:47:59: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi6/3 and port Gi3/5
    Nov 3 14:48:15: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi3/5 and port Gi6/3
    Nov 3 14:48:29: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi6/3 and port Gi3/5
    Nov 3 14:48:45: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 02:01:91:46:66:01 in
    vlan 901 is
flapping between port Gi3/5 and port Gi6/3.

How can i prevent the flapping ?

  2. Jef,

You say you are using load balancing, load balancing on the
server-side or the switch side? If you have the NICs set to load
balance but there is nothing configured on the switch for this
configuration you will see this flap until one of the ports is
disconnected or shut down. If you do have something configured on the
switch, please post the relevant parts of the configuration for
    review.

    Good Luck
