Kodak makes a profit

    NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Eastman Kodak Co. said Thursday it
    swung to a third-quarter profit of $34 million, or 12 cents a share
    from continuing operations for a loss of $83 million, or a loss of 29
    cents in the year ago period.

    Analysts polled by Thomson Financial forecast earnings of 27 cents a
    share and revenue of $2.49 billion.

    The Rochester, N.Y.-based company said sales fell 15 to $2.58 billion.

    The company forecast 2007 digital revenue to be at the high end of it
    previously issued 3% to 5% range while total revenue is expected to
    decline 'at the low end of the range of 4% and 7%.'
