keyloggers....

    Are these legal to own in NZ?

    The use Ive found this one being put to, I'd say was highly immorally
    wrong if not actually illegal...ie huge trust was broken between an
    employer and employee for no more reason than allowing the employer to
    intimidate and spy on an employee's personal items/data (such as
    Internet banking). And before someone comments, I'd also add that part
    of the terms and conditions in this instance is that the employee is
    allowed to use the employer's computer for personal use, in fact the
    employer was very keen for that to happen...seeing there is a keylogger
    installed I'm not surprised.

    The keylogger itself is not illegal (I have a couple) but the use you
    make of the collected data may well be illegal
