K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Alasdair Baxter, Nov 13, 2005.

  1. I have just installed the above on to my computer as I was told that it
would allow me to play all known videos. I am running a P3 - 450 with
    Windows 98 Second Edition.

I am running into problems. When I try to run Media Player Classic, I get
the message "The mplayerc.exe file is linked to missing export ddraw.dll:
DirectDrawCreateEx". In fact there is a file called ddraw.dll in the
C:\windows\system folder. Please, can anyone tell me how to fix this
    problem?

Run DXDIAG and see what it's got to say.

I've done that and the following are the results:

Unfortunately, I haven't a clue how to interpret them.
