Claude Berri's wonderful "Jean de Florette" and "Manon de Sources" (Manon of
the Springs) appear to be currently available on DVD, if at all, only at a
ridiculously high price ($60 range, each). Just wondering if anyone knows if
there's any word of a new, more reasonably priced release on the way.
They're on someone's Xmas wish list... But at these outrageous prices, she
might just have to wait another year.

i have them both and i found Manon de Sources at Borders (of all
places) for $14.99. i found Jean de Florette on ebay for abotu $15.
this was about 3 months ago.

one thing to note, though, is that neither of these are anamorphic
dvds. when they went OOP, i expected that an anamorphic version would
be released soon. i'm still hoping.
