ISDN2 sharing

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Simon Marsden, Feb 2, 2005.

  1. Picture this.

UK based Cisco 803 router on ISDN2 with permanent 64k call to core.
    (fixed tariff).

Want to use second isdn channel for incoming CCTV connections
    on third party hardware.

Can you stop the router attempting to answer the call?

    current config:
    !
    interface BRI0
    no ip address
    no ip directed-broadcast
    encapsulation ppp
    dialer pool-member 1 max-link 1
    isdn switch-type basic-net3
    isdn send-alerting
    ppp authentication chap callin
    !
    interface Dialer1
    desc *** core dialer ***
    ip address negotiated
    no ip directed-broadcast
    encapsulation ppp
    dialer remote-name *****
    dialer pool 1
    dialer string 0******
    dialer-group 1
    ppp authentication chap callin
    !
    dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
    !

    TIA!

  2. Hi Simon,

This can be accomplished with caller-id screening. Have a look at
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products...ommand_reference_chapter09186a00800ca536.html
