isdn dial-in prob

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by elmar bschorer, Feb 17, 2005.

  1. hi list,

i have configured my 836 router for isdn dial-in support. what i want to
do is to log in from an remote PC via ISDN to my router.

k! logging in is done and works great!
the remote system gets an ip address out of the "local ip pool".

when i now ping the router's ip from the remote that works too.
but when i try to do a "ping www.foobar.foo" i get no response :-(

the nameserver as well as the default-gateway are configured correctly on
the router - i can ping www.foobar.foo when i am connect directly on the
    router.

someone any idea? has someone a working configuration for me?

    tia

what does IPCONFIG /all show for DNS server when the ISDN connection
from your PC to the router is up?

    try "async-bootp dns-server <DNS server IP address>"
