A small box keeps appearing saying that if my computer is running slower
than usual it may be infected with adware or spyware. It says click if so,
and in the lower right corner it says "Advertisement"

Is it really from Microsoft, or just some kind of virus like the spam ones
that were appearing some time ago? I know they don't normally send anything.

I have pc-cillin and keep up to date, there are no viruses etc when I do a
    scan.

    Thank you
