Invisible Messages (Bug?)

I have notice a phenomenon of invisible messages since I upgraded to
v1.0PR. I first noticed it because in the folder pane it showed one
message unread and yet there were no unread messages in the message list
pane (set to view All). If I select View Unread the invisible message
miraculously appears. Normally if you go from View Unread to View All
the highlight sits on the message you were on but here there is no
message highlighted when you make that switch. What you do see is the
message body in the preview pane and a list of visible messages in the
message list pane. If you compare the time of the "invisible message"
there is no message at that time in the message list window. I have put
up a partial screen shot illustrating it at
    http://www.raven-family.com/Tbird.jpg
where the "invisible message is timed at 11.11 while the message list
only shows messages at 10:13 and 11:14

To all intents the message is there - it comes up if you search on the
message title for example, its just not shown in the normal message list
window and therefore inaccessible unless you know it should be there and
know what search terms to use to find it. The message shown is not an
    isolated example.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

I have noticed seemingly missing messages in TBird, usually when
downloading messages...it will say "Downloading message 3 of 5" and then
there are only one or two in the message pane.

I have traced this to the spam filtering, and indeed, the missing
messages are in the folder I have told the spam to go to. Have you
    looked into that?
