Intel Focusing On Tablets Rather Than Smartphones?

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Lawrence D'Oliveiro, May 18, 2011.

  1. Looks like Intel are conceding there won’t be x86-based smartphones in the
    foreseeable future

But why should x86-based tablets fare any better? It must be because they’re
expecting/hoping that Windows will be a selling point. Which it hasn’t been
    up to now.
